Partying, like running are all about the rush, the risk. It could be the best party or run of my life but you don’t know until you step into it. I like that unknown.
HOW DOES RUNNING OR DANCING MAKE YOU FEEL?
Alive. Pushing ourselves makes us feel alive, reminds us of our connection to everything surrounding us and to our own bodies. Running and dancing are so closely connected, they both push us to let go of whatever resistance we are holding onto in our minds.
WHAT GETS YOU IN THE ZONE?
‘The zone’ is the erasure of mental and physical discomfort, which comes 5-10 mins after steady running.
WHAT EFFECT DOES MUSIC HAVE ON YOUR BODY?
Music is life. Music controls me. My body automatically responds and adjusts to music around me.
WHAT EFFECT DOES MUSIC HAVE ON YOUR BODY?
Simultaneous amounts of maximum and lack of control. My body, its movements, fluidity and shapes formed in response to a beat, rhythm, sound.
I can break away from judgment in my own head. Warmth, completeness, shrill. To smile to yourself whilst sounds shake through your body, a reminder of what’s possible, who you are, what you can do. Awake. Free. Powerful.
WHAT IS IT LIKE TO CLOSE A SET, A PARTY, OR A RUN?
Exhausting, exhilarating, accomplished.
